Transit France Visa to tour Paris?

I am Indian citizen travelling back to India from US. I have travelled on B1 visa to US and while going back home, I wish to tour Paris for a day. What kind of visa will be required?

Also in that case, do I have to chekout all my luggage from airport?

Getting from the CDG airport to the Renaissance Paris Hotel Le Parc Trocadero?

I need some help getting from the CDG airport to the Renaissance Paris Hotel Le Parc Trocadero 55-57 Avenue Raymond Poincare. There are 4 of us, no luggage, and we arrive Saturday morning about 8 AM. A cab will be too expensive. Should we take the metro? Or the Roissybus? Or something else? If we take the metro, how does that work with the RER? How far is the walk? Thanks!!!!
